Praying for everyone that participates in the 2015 bible read to be fully blessed by the Lord.
May the Lord richly bless the church and readers active in this endeavor
Less than a week until we begin; you can feel the excitement building as we approach "go time".
We have reached and exceeded our goal of 120 readers.
Get ready to be blessed :-)
Down loaded my NLT Bible CD into my ipod tonight. There is such an excitement in me to be doing this read with my bothers and sisters at CCF. God bless all who have signed up for this blessing to be received. In the name of Jesus our savior .. Amen
I started reading the first two chapters on Sunday morning before church and WOW....God has made himself apparent in my life in Prophetic ways, almost right away. Amazing things have occurred that I just know it's God speaking & moving. I am very motivated to keep reading on and praying forward!!
Hoping everyone will enjoy and embrace the Holy Spirit throughout the Bible Read. The Holy Spirit will guide you to righteousness. Loving the miracles performed throughout the Bible. If only people would understand that life its self is a miracle of great magnitude. Instead of taking advantage of it. It's so simple to stay straight. The quickest way to redirect your mind to our Lord Jesus is to whisper His name. That's an invitation the good Lord won't pass up. Blessings to all...
Awesome, thanks Bob
One day in I knew this was going to be powerful. As I begin reading I first declare, "oh Columbia hear the word of the Lord"! Then as I read God often impresses me to pause and declare/pray a particular verse or truth over our community :-)
6 days; 12 chapters in: been prophesying hard over Columbia :-)
I start each reading by saying aloud "Oh Columbia, hear the Word of the Lord".
Often during the reading the Lord will impress me to pause and prophesy or pray a particular verse into the community, the school district, or even our CCF.
Anyone else having strange things happening to them lately? I just wanted to share that 3 very spiritually closed people in my family reached out to me for prayer in the last few days and shared a bit of their life with me. I attribute this to declaring God's word aloud into the heavenly realms over my family! Praise God for His call, His plan, His ways, and His fulfillment. Blessings to you!... also... this was really hard to find where to comment for some reason... maybe it's just the mobile app?
In the last couple days anytime I hear something sad or feel overwhelmed or frustrated one of my first thoughts is "I've gotta read my bible and declare His Word into the atmosphere!" I hope this new habit STICKS! God's word and prayer... good stuff!
Wow... those last couple days in Romans were so full of wisdom and guidance!
Can someone share the Biblical reference for reading aloud for our children or loved ones?
It is found all through Scripture. In the old testament for example, in Ezra they gathered the people together and they read scripture out loud from dawn to to noon, and Ezekiel 37 The Lord told Eze. to prophesy or speak to these dry bones, and Isaiah the The Lord says my word will not return to me void but will accomplish that for which I sent it forth , reading aloud is is not really much different from preaching the word out loud in a church service, or praying out loud for folks that are a far-off like Burkina Faso
:-) or declaring the truth of Scripture over people when we pray for them. Jesus often spoke to people or in adamant things, like the figtree, he said to us if you say to this mountain… The principle of speaking allowed to or over things is found all through scripture and applies just as easily to reading the word out loud. Lastly, in the early books of the old testament the nation Israel was commanded over and over again to read the Law out loud to their children when they were eating together, when they were walking together, actually at all times. Good question Dottie
Not sure if this is related to the Bible Read or not but I think it is. I've been dealing with a deep issue lately & it seems that whenever I pray my heart out in the car with WJTL playing God answers my prayer through a song. It's like a prophetic message that is meant just for me. It's not like I am expecting it and every time it happens it catches me off guard but I know its God speaking to me. I keep down loading all these songs too so I don't forget them. God is amazing but we have to keep going after him and reading the Word. Which I wasn't doing much of before the Bible Read so I do think this has jumped started something in me again!
Still plugging away. Encouraged because Brie is starting to enjoy listening as I read. She understands more than I expected and asks questions the whole time. It's really awesome when our kids help us and inspire us.
